Our clients wanted to develop two types of 4-plex homes: homes with garages facing the street and homes with garages facing the rear alley. These are “starter” three-bedroom plans, around 1500 square feet each.
To blend the town homes with the surrounding existing homes, we designed the end units to be mostly hip-roofed and single-story. The 4-plexes thus have a “cascading” appearance, with lower-profile end units gradually leading up to the taller two-story central massings.
